Payment Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026. All Northpine Atelier product prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Accepted payment methods

The payment methods currently available are shown at Shopify checkout. A method is accepted only when it appears as an available option for the order and customer at checkout.

Taxes, shipping, duties and the final total

Applicable taxes, shipping charges and any duties or import charges collected by the store are displayed before payment. Free shipping applies only when checkout displays a CAD $0 shipping rate for the completed Canadian address and current cart. Charges not collected at checkout may be payable to the carrier or Canadian authorities as described in the Shipping Policy.

Payment security

Payments are transmitted and processed through Shopify and the payment providers enabled by the store. Shopify states that its platform is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. Northpine Atelier does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own systems. Never send card numbers, security codes or online-banking credentials through email or the contact form.

Authorization and order acceptance

A payment authorization does not by itself guarantee fulfilment. An order is accepted after payment review, inventory confirmation and order confirmation. An order may be cancelled and refunded if payment cannot be verified, inventory is unavailable or fraud is reasonably suspected.

Failed or duplicate charges

If a payment fails, confirm the billing information with the card issuer and use an available checkout method. For a suspected duplicate charge, contact us with the order number and the dates and amounts shown; do not send full card details.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 5 business days after approval. The bank, card issuer or payment provider may require an additional 5–10 business days to post the credit. See the Returns Policy for eligibility and return instructions.
